AI agency in Val-de-Marne, south-east of Paris: AI agents for wholesalers, construction firms and service companies

Équipage IA sets up AI agents in small and mid-sized businesses in Val-de-Marne, the département just south-east of Paris that is home to the Rungis wholesale food market. Each agent takes on one precise task: orders and price requests received in writing, invoice checks before sending, follow-ups, the paperwork for a building job. The agent works inside the tools you already use and prepares the work; a person on your team approves everything that goes out to a customer, a supplier or a main contractor. Our head office is in central Paris, at 47 rue Vivienne, and we come to your premises for the discovery audit and the trial period.

Twenty to thirty minutes. No commitment.

The département also has an address no other one has: the Rungis International Market. According to the figures published by the market, 1,226 companies operate there on 234 hectares, and 12,000 people work on site (market website, read 29/10/2026). Wholesalers of fruit and vegetables, seafood, dairy or meat, caterers, carriers: much of their office work goes through orders, quotes and invoices.

What can an agent prepare for a wholesaler or distributor?

The orders and price requests that land mixed together in the same inbox. A wholesaler receives orders from food and catering professionals by email, as attachments or through an online form; the Rungis market website itself lets buyers send a quote request to its wholesalers. The agent reads each message, recognises the customer, matches the lines to your catalogue and prepares the order entry or the draft quote. A person checks and approves.

Diagram: orders and price requests arrive by email, attachment or form; the agent sorts them, matches them to the catalogue and prepares the entry or the quote, which a person approves before anything is sent.
  • Orders. The agent picks out the customer, the references, the quantities, the delivery address and the requested date, then flags an unknown reference or an unusual quantity. The details are on our page AI agent for wholesale and distribution SMEs.
  • Price requests. The agent sorts, summarises, lists what is missing to price the job and drafts the reply. The price, the discount and the validity date stay your decision. See the quote request agent.
  • Invoices before they go out. France is phasing in mandatory e-invoicing from 1 September 2026, starting with large and mid-sized companies, then small businesses from 1 September 2027. Four new mentions become mandatory, including the customer's company registration number and the delivery address when it differs from the customer's (French government business portal, read 29/10/2026). The agent can check that each prepared invoice carries them and flag those that do not.

We are currently building an agent of this kind with a small industrial distributor. It is in its test phase, connected read-only to the management data, with quote creation and sending to customers switched off until the team has approved how it behaves. The first lesson applies to a wholesaler in Val-de-Marne too: each person on the team has their own shortcuts for recognising a customer or a reference, and the agent has to learn them before it is useful.

What about construction and services?

Same principle: a written task that comes back every week. Construction counts 5,922 employer establishments in the département, 4,321 of them with one to nine employees. For these firms, time is often lost sorting price requests, chasing quotes and sending documents to a main contractor. Our page AI agency in Seine-Saint-Denis describes how an agent keeps track of a subcontractor's certificates: it works the same way here.

For a carrier or a service company, the work is more often availability requests, tracking questions and the supporting documents needed for invoicing. During the audit we check whether the volume justifies an agent: a few requests a week are handled perfectly well by hand.

Who does what between the agent and your team?

The agent prepares, a person on your team decides. We write this rule into the scope of every project, task by task, before building anything.

How does a project with a business in Val-de-Marne run?

It starts from a real task and ends with a go-live that you decide. A first agent on one role is delivered in two to three weeks, trial period included.

  • The discovery audit: one task, your tools, the decisions that must stay human. A written opinion, even if it concludes there is nothing to build.
  • The written scope: what the agent does alone, what goes through you, the authorised sources, and a fixed-price quote you approve before any paid work.
  • The build: read-only access first, rules, message templates, tests on your past orders and quotes.
  • The trial period, two weeks: the agent works without sending anything, and we compare its drafts with what your team actually did.
  • Monthly follow-up, no commitment, one month's notice.

For a business elsewhere in the region, the approach is the same: see AI agent agency in the Paris region.

FAQ

Do you have an office in Val-de-Marne?

No. Our head office is in central Paris, at 47 rue Vivienne: it is our registered address and the one on our legal notice. We come to you, anywhere in the département, for the discovery audit and during the trial period.

Some of our orders come in by phone: can the agent handle them?

The agent works on written input: emails, attachments, forms. An order taken by phone enters the flow if the person who takes it writes it down in a message or a form. During the audit we check whether that is realistic for you, or whether the written share is enough to justify an agent.

Can the agent issue our e-invoices?

No. Invoices are issued through your invoicing software and the platform you have chosen. The agent prepares, checks the mandatory mentions and flags gaps with the order; issuing and sending stay with, or are approved by, a person on your team.

What happens if the agent does not recognise a reference?

It flags it as such, without guessing. The line goes into the approval list with the original message, and the person who knows the customer decides.

Do we need to change our software?

No. The agent works in your current tools: email, shared folders, management, quoting and invoicing software. If one of them offers no official access, we tell you during the audit.
